Doton, July 10 ( xinhua ) ----Doton is expecting little rain in the coming ten days and the highs of 36 C are likely to hit the areas.
The drought is getting more and more serious.

"The region has mostly see hot, dry weather for  a week, and it seems to continue," an administrator said, adding that the actions are being taken by the local departments.

Data indicated that the rainfall this year in Doton is 30 to 80 percent less compared to normal years, and Doton is suffering  the worst drought since 1954, which damaged the agriculture a lot-- the crops are dying for the want of rain,  and the farms are cracked,  which makes the growth of vegetables impossible. Besides, residents are also suffering from the hot weather, staying at home with little desire to go out.

The administration said though the North Water Diversion Project was working, it could not solve the promble fundamentally. The key of this drought is environment protection which needs the endeavor of the government as well as the public.
