A Chance for Repayment
    The morning sun rose clear and beautiful, making the sky golden, the sun was shining all day. Jim had a good mood because he was invited to a business banquet. He drove his car very quickly and turn the music up, which was so loud that he couldn’t hear anything. A terrible accident happened as the car was taking the corner too fast. It was too late to notice a little boy and stop the car, the car went out of control and ran into the boy, which frightened Jim so much that he quickly sent to the boy to a hospital nearby. It was very lucky that the boy hadn’t suffered serious problem, only his leg fractured in two places.
     He waited and waited, sitting by the boy’s bed. The boy was in a coma.After about half an hour the boy was awake, he opened his big eyes.”What’s wrong with me? Uncle,why I lay here?” the boy asked. “I’m sorry for you,I was careless to drive my car and ran into you.Don’worry child, you just had some pain in your leg, you’ll get better soon!” Jim said kindly. “Oh, I feel I’m a lucky boy. It doesn’t matter,I’m brave.” he said, “Uncle, you seemed a successful man, don’t you?”
   Lovely child, do you like listening to story? I can tell you a real experience about me.” Jim answered.
“Ten years ago,” said the man, “I was young and always had some audacious ideas. I longed for a desert expedition in Somalia. It sounds very crazy, isn’t it? But I didn’t know why I had such incredible idea at that time. You know the weather in the desert is very bad, there are burning desert sands everywhere. You maybe die when suffering from hungry or thirsty. I set out with a bag filling with some solid food and some water. On my trip I came across a man named Tom, who seemed older than me, with a beard face. All the way we helped with each other, we went through the difficulties together. When we arrived a place where there were lots of dunes. The weather got worse and the wind blew heavily so that we moved with hardly steps. It became worse our food and water was used up. At that moment I thought I would end in the desert. Suddenly Tom fell over, I asked him what the matter with him, he said‘I maybe die, I think I haven’t any effort to pass through the desert. I have liver cancer. Even though I pass through the desert ,I won’t live long. Young man, I believe you can do it, there are still some waters in my bottle. I wish you can live continue…’‘My kind friend, I can’t leave you alone, yon can’t die!’I said,‘No,young man ,I know I have little time to live, I just worry about my child…’Tom said, he stopped his breathe.” Jim said all the story, his eyes filled with waters. “He saved me by using his life. I respect and admire him.”Jim said.
“Uncle,what you said that man is my father.Since my father died, my mother left me and married anther man. Now I’m living with my grandmother.” The child said.”Oh,the chance is coming, I can repay Tom…” Jim said stirring.
