The Reason Why I Choose to Read Klara and the Sun

I first heard about the book Klara and the Sun when I was in high school. In a Chinese test, the reading comprehension section of the paper excerpted the beginning of Klara and the Sun. When I was reading the beginning paragraphs, I was truly amazed by the complex emotions of the mother and was curious about what would happen between Klara and the sick girl. After the test, I was eager to read the book and discover the relationships among the main characters, but failed to do this due to the tight schedule and gradullly forgot about it. So when I saw the book on the selecting list of this semester, I immediately made the decision to choose this book to fulfill my old wish. When I met the book for the first time, I was just amazed and didn't get the essence that was hidden deeply between the lines. I hope this time I could step into the world of this book, have more understanding of humanity and develop my own perspective.
