Walking to the Bridge of Lust

There is a bridge of temptation in front of me. I just gazed at it thoughtlessly. Then temptation comes to me and says that passing this bridge I will gain the pleasure of paradise. But the rationality whispers to me that I will only suffer the anguish from the hell. As facing the two of them I hesitate where I should go. To go forward the rationality does not allow that whereas to walk back the temptation drags me back. Suddenly, a strong wind blows the rationality away and the temptation leads me to the other side.

It is really beautiful and interesting on the other side of the bridge. The temptation takes me to everywhere that is full of excitement, stimulation and freshness. The lust of temptation is so alluring for me for the first time and I have lost in such a pleasure of lust.

At the moment there is a heavy rain which strikes me coldly and painfully. I am standing in the rain, thinking.

This time I, from the bottom of my heart, shed tears for my decision. Through the tears I see the rationality that it is smiling to me and waiting for me to come towards it. I walk slowly to the rationality and I am ready to forget the lust of temptation, listening carefully to the pleasing music of raindrops.

Really beautifully written, with all these personification and metaphors. The process of your mind shows itself so vividly in front of us. It's really a pleasure to read your essay.

And I hope you would resist the temptation next time.
