It is a truth universally known, that a man should marry a woman, a woman should marry a man. For hundreds of thousand years, that has been firmly believed by men, who think it is God’s will by creating the first woman after the first man, until, the widespread same-sex relationships shake their belief of their abiding sexual orientation. Suddenly men realize, it does not necessarily follow that one must be in need of a partner in different gender. Then, gays become one of men’s focuses.
. Firstly, I would like to declare that I am straight, and I do not have the tendency towards lesbian. Here I want to make it clear, because I see in the movie Philadelphia, the lawyer who defends a gay has been misunderstood by the public as homosexual. But actually only due to his respects to life, he tries to help the social outcast. Now the fact is that, gays, who are regarded abnormal, have not accepted by human society. Yet, I believe, voices of the few should not be against just because it is different from that of the most. The sexual orientation of an individual should be respected, which is his freedom and right. What’s more, homosexual is not disgusting as people always think. It is biologically determined just as our nature. And gays are not the black sheep of the society but common people like the ordinaries, who may also contribute to the society’s general well-being, so they should not have suffered from discrimination and homophobia of the public.
It could not be denied that some diseases like AIDS are highly infected among gays. Thus, gays should take care of their sexual life and cherish their own lives. And the public, please give a helping hand to this special group of people. We share the same world. And nobody should be treated as social outcast.
Luckily in recent years, films as Philadelphia and Brokeback Mountain about homosexual were shot to help people know more about it and tolerate it more. And someone said the film Brokeback Mountain is a real tearjerker that may have power to change people’s thinking about gay relationships.
Anyway, being gay is not guilty! |
