Take notice of the water
When water drips from a tap, will you pay attention to it and turn the tap off immediately? When you finish cleaning clothes with a basin of water, will you recycle it to clean a mop? After you rinse the fruit and vegetables, will you pour the waste water to the soil under a tree instead of the drain? The answers may be yes, nevertheless, will you persist in doing like this?
Sometimes we consider water more than enough just because we ourselves have enough. We take no notice of it and waste it. For our part, only when the tap water is stopped will we notice that we are in lack of water. We complain and blame the water factory but when we are wasting, people in the places short of water are gathering water from the rain or the lake that might dry up at any time.
I have seen pictures on magazines, showing the dry soil. In those places, it might not rain all the year. The inhabitants, old and young, die of thirst and hunger. It is always reported that the water of a river will be unsuitable to drink because of pollution. What’s more, we often hear someone is sick or falls in a strange illness because of drinking polluted water. It is sorry that we feel but when we waste our water, what do we feel? Nowadays, every time I travel in the places of interest with clean rivers, I am afraid that they will be polluted in the near future.
We may cherish what we lose. We could not live without water and nobody would like to see the day we lack water, so take notice of the precious water we possess and take care of it as our own life. |
