Two heads are better than one
The past several thousand years have witnessed the continuous emergence of Chinese phylosophy, among which were the famous saying two heads are better than one.Personally,I am deeply convinced that this argument is not well-grounded for the following reasons.
To begin with,a simple combination of heads cannot turn out to be strong enough to outweigh that of a wise man .For instance,if the two heads refers to some innocent children, then this saying is unlikely to be true.Precisely,it is not based on an equal intellegence level, thus leaving no sense to make compasion.
Apart from that, what is evident is that poor interaction between the “two heads” will in no way lead to success. In contrast,a smart man alone enjoys a good chance to take use of his knowledge and come up with wonderful ideas. As a matter of fact, when people get together with a hope to make wiser choices, they sometimes go astray or even get the opposite effect due to failture of communication and cooperation.
Admittedly, this saying does make sense to the extent that unification means combination of thought. If everyone isolated himself from others, they would never share their brilliant views, and would not have created such a beautiful world.Nonetheless, combinationg without any discrimination will not ensure a defite victory.Only when the heads are good enough and cooperative enough can they prevail over the wise one.
To sum up,the saying too heads are better than one has some limitations and is only reasonable when these are lifted.Indeed,I am in favor of the presuit of individuality in today’s complex society.
