The Hicksos introduced chariots, compound bows.The composite bow, with much greater range and accuracy, replaced the Egyptian long bow . They also introduced the bronze dagger and the short sword, new crop irrigation methods, and bronze metalworking. An improved potter's wheel resulted in higher quality ceramics which were also more durable. The Hyksos also brought to Egypt the vertical loom, which produced better quality linen.

They also brought the shadoof to Egypt,which revolutionized the techniques Egyptians used for farming.ancient Egyptians were able to raise water above the level of the Nile River and to divert the water into canals. This eventually led to the ability for the ancient Egyptians to produce two crops a year instead of just one.
