"Beloved" tells an untellable story, using a repressed narrative as a means to reproduce mysterious human redemption rituals and sublimate the traumatic memory of the race. In her creations, she uses artistic means to express the rebellion of African American culture against mainstream Western culture, exploring a way out of the shadows of history. This moving story of universal humanity that transcends racial boundaries is relatively independent of the book, but Morrison still allows it to be completed three times from different perspectives, with clear layers: the first time led by Danf's thoughts, the second time Danff told to her darling, and the third time supplemented by Seth herself. In addition, the multi-voice chorus and symphony of various sound qualities (the second part of the novel with "You are mine" as the main theme of Seth, Darling, Danfu three intricate thoughts intertwined, the most typical), also make "Darling" have the basic characteristics of a great polyphonic novel work.
Fearful of wasted time, and attracted by the pomp and exaggeration of the narrative and the simplicity and vividness of the dialogue, Pan Yue and I began to try to co-translate the African American writer Toni Morrison's novel "The Darling," which had just won the Pulitzer Prize.
