Chapter 1 What is artificial intelligence?

In the first chapter of the book, the author explains to us what is artificial intelligence with a simple example. It starts from the purchase of milk and bread, increasing the conditions step by step. It is conducive to the reader gradually understand the definition of artificial intelligence.

However, the author did not blindly emphasize the theory of artificial intelligence when explaining the definition of artificial intelligence, but said that in practice, the goal and the original intention are the most important.

Chapter 2 AI around us

In the second chapter of the book, the author introduces the artificial intelligence around people. It made me realize that artificial intelligence is everywhere. Due to the popularity of ChatGPT and deepseek in recent years, we pay more attention to generative AI than other types of artificial intelligence. But in fact, artificial intelligence is not the large equipment that widely used in various fields, and it is often used for achieving some specific goals. So we can know that artificial intelligence is not a large whole, but an individual formed to achieve some small goal, or a complex composed of several individuals.

The essence of artificial intelligence is a program, which is just a program of the computer. As Musk said, the essence of machine learning is statistics. In this chapter, the author makes a point that I had never considered before, namely that one of the main points of whether a program can be called artificial intelligence is the ability to react correctly to situations that are not predetermined.
