Our   Dear   Mom

Have you ever heard Celion Dion’s song that goes like this:” Mama, you gave life to me, turned a baby into a lady. Mama, all you had offer…..”

Beautiful, isn’t it?

After enjoying this song, please do me a favor: answer my questions with your heart and write your answer in your heart.

Who was the one that brought you to the world even at the cost of one’s life?
Who was the one that fed you with part of one’s own body?
Who was the one that was happy when you were happy and sorrow when you were sorrow?
Who was the one that was always by your side no matter where you were?

My instant response to these is “MOM”. And I firmly believe we share the same answer.
Yes, it was she who nurtured my life with her heart and blood.
It was  she who jumped highest for my excellent performance in the play.
It was she who wiped my tears away and held me into her warm bosom when I fell down in the running competition.
It was she who gave me the strongest support no matter where I was.
Mom, our dear moms!

It does not matter whether she is a business executive, an hourly labourer, or an unpaid family mom –the best mothers invest the best of themselves in their families. They may spend many hours at work, but they still manage to make us feel loved, to make each house a home, and set high standards and higher expectations. They glory in our successes and console us in our defeats. Their love is like ripples in a pond spreading across our life.

But excuse me: do you know when Mother’s Day is? Do you remember your mom’s birthday?
The second Sunday of every May is Mother’s Day.
And I always keep my mom’s birthday in my heart.1st June, the Children’s Day.

But I am afraid that not all of can get them without hesitation.
However, I am not intended to blame you for your forgetting these two dates. I just want to show you the love surrounding you and remind you that whether you wear gratitude-attitude or just take it for granted.


It matters not you fail to know that second Sunday of every May is Mother’s Day. Nevertheless, once you are at home, you should still her busy hands by serving her a homemade breakfast in bed or taking her to a nice restaurant for lunch. It is not necessary to present her an expensive birthday gift, but you will shower her with cards, flowers, and presents in an attempt to say “Thank you” for all the hours she has laboured for us.

But the most significant thing for us is to live up to our mother’s expectations to be the kind of adults she always believe we could be. And if we simply try our best, she will consider the return on her investment to be well met.

I am proud to say that I deserve my mom’s deep love for I am always a happy , generous and diligent girl she expects me to be. And I wish all of us will appreciate our moms’ love with hearts and hands.

So we can be proud enough to say:
Thank you, my dear mom.
Thank you ,our great moms.
