The biased and fabricated reports about the recent riots in Tibet by some western media angered most Chinese people. Of course, those ZDs must be excluded from this, for they are exhilarating that, finally, they have colluded someone with them.
Jack Cafferty, host of CNN, said in the report, “well, I don’t know if china is any different…, I think they’re basically the same bunch of goons and thugs they’ve been for the last 50 years.” Apart from his insulting utterance, CNN gave a distorted account of the riots, which evidently demonstrated that CNN turned blind eyes to the principles of fairness and objectivity. However, CNN is not the only media which has veiled truth before billions of eyes. Fox, BBC, Times, and Germany’s RTL television station are also flooded with fake reports of Tibet issue. Somehow, until now, RTL television station is the only media which has made sincere apology.
Chinese people are irritated. Netizens home and abroad have established websites to show their anger and indignation. They collect and make public those biased reports and shed light on the truth, that the Western media are aimed at tarnishing the image of China. Their efforts have given birth to remarkable achievement. As a media commentary goes, “Chinese netizens’ rational opinion and love of their country is becoming weapon of criticism that foreign media have to face up to.”
Although achievement has been made, we still need to strive forward and accomplish more. Since the Western media want not to shoulder the responsibility to be objective and impartial, we’ll take it over and unveil the truth. Since they like to call white black, we’ll have our own voice louder to call white white. There is always someone speaking for truth.
