In the present – day society the researches of all walks of life are being enhanced both in breadth and depth, which demand an in – depth study; therefore, all tasks, especially engineering projects and scientific researches, are becoming more and more complicated. And then co – operation is essentially needed, since it is obviously impossible for one single person, even a group to complete some tasks.

    We are taught that, from primary school, we should help mutually and study together, establishing a mutually supportive relationship with each other. This is the first co – operation we touched. Growing up, when playing some games and sports, such as basketball and football, we co – operate with our teammates in winning the competition. Good teamwork is always stressed in researching a certain topic: we discussing the topic, deciding the methods and setting out to do it. The co – operative activities are more necessary and essential in working field. In the competitive working market, he, who takes a good co – operation with others will possibly have a better and more impressive in work.

    Co – operation exists not only between individuals, but also between groups and organizations and even countries. Hangzhou Bay Bridge, thirty – six km long, the present longest one in the world, which has been open to traffic since first May 2008, is the success of thousands of workers, engineers and experts, with the investment of our country. Atypical example of co – operation between nations is the successful Mapping of Human Genome which is undertook by the six most advanced countries, including China, the United States, Japan, Germany, France and Britain, which will surely make great contribution to the progress and development of human life.

    “Many hands make light work,” as the saying goes. Through co – operation which involves teammates, teamwork and team spirit, we can complete the tasks successfully and as soon as possible by trying our best; and we can gain a higher level of competence. We cannot emphasize the importance of co – operation too much.
