A college student jumped from a high building!

Hearing the death of his parents’ in the catastrophic earthquke, he couldn’t bear the sorrow and break down, casting himself out of the window , throwing all his grief , his future as well as the expectation of his parents in the wind. A youth, like a autumn leaf, was adrift in the turbulent, putting an end to his precious life.

A life in his heyday of youth perished. A flower in its full blossom withered. Not having recovered from the devastating tremor, I am  shocked by the concussion of the heart-trending tragedy.

When watching the news that are not new any more, I admire and applause for those who stand up from the debris and brave on the rubble in search for the survivors while couldn’t help lamenting for those who gave up themselves and succumb to the disaster. In saying this, I don’t have the slightest intention to laugh at the delicacy of the suicide. Hardly could I puzzle out why the student chose to swirl out of the way of his life when a splendid prospect was waiting ahead. It is beyond imagination to guess what the parents were thinking when the ceiling was caved in. But surely, by no means would they expect the deeds of their son. Instead, they must have strongly hoped that their descendent to be brave and strive on, carrying the blood on and on. However, their last wish blasted with the very jump.

The words of a girl still carved in my mind. When asked what she wanted say to her departed father who had died in saving four students, she simply answered: “Dad, I will be brave and carry on your blood. I promise I will never give up and will live well.”
“I will live well.” This is a seemingly laconic but a hard promise to fulfill. How many of us dare to make such an oath?

Confronted with misfortunes, the most frequently asked question is whether we should keep on. In the course of struggling with setbacks, many would withdraw and surrender to the hard fate. But that is not what the passed-away anticipate to see. The earthquake could smash down the house , destroy the roads but it is not supposed to crash our will and hope. In the face of adversities, we are not expected to be heroic and salvage others. Anyone who can smile at the catastrophe is a hero.
