A cup of tea in winter of the warm lyrics, a blow of spring breeze of the soft rhythm, sank me, who was cursing the awful hot weather before, into an icy ocean, where I touched the tiny shinning fish, lay on the back of dolphin. Suddenly, beyond my awareness, the image of my best friend Pan rose to the surface. For the past times, maybe, she was always hiding in my subconscious.
I made her acquaintance in high school. But her saying “the thumb seems to be chicken”, which is my long-holding secret view, made us became instantaneously intimate.
Well, it is a destiny, I always think so.

Tough, with no doubt and universally known, the high school years are. After tortured by the consecutive failure in math exams, I crumbled. No hope. No future! I let the painful tears poring out, without any control, or possibly, can not to be. Pan walked to me, a girl of total tragedy, who was standing by a large pine tree. “Ning…do you feel better now?” With nothing replied, she continued: “forget all the past, for they all belong to yesterday. Today is what you should hold tightly.” Then a long deep sigh, “Promise me, you will never cry again after this one”. She slowly embraced me and let me cry on her shoulder---a girl’s not-so-stout shoulder, whereas, transmitting a power of care, a power of love to me…I cried here like I had never cried. No shame. No duty. No vanity. No unconfidence. Here friendship and love only.

The melody, gradually and slowly, ended over. The essence, nevertheless, haunted in my mind, and wouldn’t fade away.
Friendship is the most essential element through people’s lives, along with kinship and romance. Overlooking on the peak of career, if no company standing by you, seems null; grasping what you are desired for a long time, if through betraying your intimate, seems dull. Lucky, for true friends will share my happiness, achievements and comfort my bitterness, unpleasantness, is what I feel in my deep heart.
Pan, I just miss you so much

True friendship is what makes us feel warm and safe.

I like it. A beautiful essay.

Romance is good for a happy life, but too much of it will spoil the delicious soup of life. I hope the romance in your heart wouldn't make you fragile or vulnerable.

Thank you for your appreciation...well,i think i am not a sentimental girl. But as a girl,maybe it is my lot to be, sometimes, somewhat easily touched by a kind of circumstance, even a trifle...however,most of the time,i am a self-independent girl, just brave and strong enough...hope you enjoy love and be tough as well...
